IIM Kashipur or Indian Institute of Management Kashipur is a comparatively a new educational institute into the series of IIMs in the country but since its inception in the year 2011, it has become a preferable choice for majority of the young aspirants. Located at the beautiful campus in Uttarakhand, the Institute aims to provide management education to its students that can help them to equivalent with the needs of the society. Initially, it started with a two-year full time Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM) but now it has included some other management courses to extend the knowledge of the students. Academic Programmes
IIM Kashipur is fully committed to provide quality business studies to its prospective students and thus all of its programmes are focused on the enhancement of management study among the students. However, the institute offers these educational programmes within its campus:
Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM)
It is a two year full time programme that includes management topics like marketing management, business statistics, managerial economics, business communication, strategic management, corporate finance, operations management and many more. The programme is categorized into six terms that further divided as three terms in the first year and three terms in the second year. The admissions of the candidates are done to this educational programme on the basis of their marks in Common Admission Test (CAT).
Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGPM)
It is also a two-year full time programme focuses on the different aspects of the management study. IIM Kashipur enrols only those students to this educational programme who are appearing or have passed EMAT (Executive Management Aptitude Test) or GMAT/CAT entrance test. The final merit list of the candidates is prepared on the basis of their CAT/GMAT/EMAT plus with academic performance, work experience and personal interview.
Executive Fellow Programme in Management (EFPM)
It is a non-residential doctoral programme applicable for senior executives who are working in government, business and social sectors. IIM Kashipur offers this educational programme with the purpose of bringing out more research on the complex issues in the stream of management. To get admission in this programme, one has to possess at least 10 years of managerial or executive work experience along with required educational qualifications. As far as admission is concerned, the institute hires only those candidates to this course, who have possessed a valid RAT (Research Aptitude Test) score. A personal interview of the candidate is also taken into consideration during the admission.
Fellow Programme in Management (FPM)
IIM Kashipur imparts this full time residential doctoral programme with the purpose of carrying out more research into areas of study like business communication, economics and business environment, business policy and strategy, information technology & systems, finance, marketing, organizational behaviour and HRM and Operations Management and decision sciences. The selection procedure of this course is based on candidates' CAT/GMAT/GRE/GATE score along with personal interview conducted at the premises of the institute.
