JMET To Be Replaced By CAT 2011

All the six IITs i.e. Bombay, Kanpur, Delhi, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee have replaced entrance test from Joint Management Entrance Test (JMET) with Common Admission Test (CAT) 2011. Those who passed CAT 2011 will be eligible for the admissions to the post graduate management degree programmes - Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master degree in Management - conducted by these IITs.

Initially, the management of IITs had decided that the candidates’ admissions will be conducted on the basis of JMET but now it has redirect the admission to the PG level programmes through their ranks in CAT 2011, which will be conducted between October 22, 2011 and November 18, 2011.
