National Law School of India University (NLSIU) Bangalore, Karnataka, is one of the renowned law institutes in the country. It came into existence under the National Law School of India University Act through the endeavor of the Judiciary, the Bar Council of India, the Karnataka Bar Council, the Bangalore University and the Government of Karnataka.

Eligibility

Candidates need to have passed Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2) or its equivalent with not less than 50% marks in aggregate, from any recognized state/national Board.

Admission

Candidates are short listed to this undergraduate level programme on the basis of their ranks in Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), which is a premier all-India level test.

Post Graduate Programmes

Master of Laws (LLM)

Eligibility

To be eligible for this PG level programme, one has to possess LLB degree with not less than 55% marks in aggregate, from any statutory University.

Admission

The admission of the candidates to this PG programme is done on the basis their performance in Common Law Admission Test (CLAT).

Master of Philosophy (M Phil)
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
Doctor of Laws (LLD)

Eligibility

Candidates, who are seeking their admission to these research programmes, have to clear LLM examination with minimum of 55% marks in aggregate, which should be recognized by any University.
