GATE 2013 - Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2013


Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, which is popularly known as GATE Exam, is an all India level entrance test. It is considered as among the most important entrance exams conducted for the engineering and technological courses in the country. GATE Exam is organized every year jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc.) and seven IITs i.e. IIT Roorkee, IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, IIT Bombay and IIT Guwahati on behalf of the National Coordination Board - GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

The candidates’ scores of GATE Exam are the criteria of several engineering colleges in the country for the undergraduate and postgraduate level courses, which are given below:

Under Graduate Courses
  • Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech)
  • Bachelor of Engineering (BE)

Post Graduate Courses
  • Master of Engineering (ME)
  • Master of Technology (M.Tech)

Doctorate Course
  • Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
