UGC Reveals 21 Fake Universities in India
University
Grants Commission (UGC), a constitution body of Government of India, has
released the list of 21 fake universities functioning within the country. The
list of these universities is being mentioned in the official website of the
UGC.
According to the
UGC, there are 21 unrecognized universities running in the nine cities of the country.
It is against the provisions of the UGC Act, 1956. Meanwhile, it has suggested
to the students to not to pursue any course from these universities.
The University
Grants Commission has stated that these fake institutions have no right to
continue their functions and grant any degree to any student.
