Eligibility Criteria for PTU CET

Before applying for the Punjab Technical University Common Entrance Test (PTU-CET), one has to complete all the eligibility prerequisites, which are laid down by the Punjab Technical University (PTU), Jalandhar. Given below are the eligibility requirements for the entrance test.

The aspirants must have passed Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2) or its equivalent, from any recognized state/national Board. The qualifying examination needs to have cleared by the candidates with not less than 50% marks in aggregate in the subjects of Physics and Chemistry as the main subjects along with Mathematics or Biology (Botany & Zoology) as one of the optional subjects.

The candidates appearing in the final year of their qualifying examination can also apply for this entrance test. In addition, they should present proof of their appearing in the examination. After completing all these eligibility requirements, the candidates will be issued admit card for the Punjab Common Entrance Test (Punjab CET).

Examination Pattern for PTU CET

As the candidates, they should have the knowledge about examination pattern applied in the Punjab CET entrance examination. What topics in which questions are asked? Or what the language used in all the instructions? All these aspects must have known by the candidates before appearing for the admission test.

Punjab Common Entrance Test (Punjab CET) consists of multiple-choice type questions in which candidates will be given four options and they must choose the correct one of them. There will be total number of 60 questions that have to be answered by the candidates within three-hour duration.

Candidates applying for the Bachelor of Architecture (B Arch) have to appear in an aptitude test, which is conducted separately from the PTU CET by the University. The aptitude test will contain total number of 30 objective-type questions that should be solved by the aspirants within 30 minutes duration.
