Bachelor of Information Technology Programme - BIT Course

The Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) programme is comparatively new engineering course. It is basically a four-year degree course, which is imparted by several engineering colleges all over India. Some engineering colleges in India also referred to this course as equivalent to the Bachelor of Engineering (BE) / Bachelor of Technology (B Tech) degree.

Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) course generally covers all aspects of information technology fields. To be eligible for this UG programme, one has to pass Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2) level of examination with science stream, from any recognized Board. Admission criteria may vary from one institution to other, however, it generally decided through an all-India level entrance test. After pursuing this course one can pursue post-graduate level study in the same field.
