It was established in the year 1987 under the management of Muslim Educational Association of Southern India (MEASI), which is registered under the Act XXVI of 1860. The management institute is affiliated to the renowned University of Madras, Chennai. New College of Institute of Management Chennai has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
