The Indian Institute of Science Bangalore, IISc Bangalore, has started the applications for the admissions to its various postgraduate and doctorate courses in engineering, management, research and design fields. The admissions are done for the academic session of 2016. The interested candidates can only apply for these courses via online method on or before March 21. 

The institute invites application for these following courses: 
  • Master of Technology (M. Tech) 
  • Master of Management 
  • Master of Research
  • Master of Design (M. Des)
  • Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) 


Eligibility and Admission Criteria 

The eligibility and admission criteria for these educational programmes are given below: 

Master of Technology (M. Tech)

Eligibility: Candidates must have passed Bachelor's Degree examination in Engineering or Technology from a statutory university. 
Selection procedure: As per the institute’s norms. 

Master of Design (M. Des)

Eligibility: The admission seekers should have finished their Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Design /Architecture, which should be recognized by a University. 
Selection Procedure: Candidates will be selected on the basis of their valid GATE/CEED score, which is further followed by a Design Aptitude Test (DAT) and then interview. 

Master of Management 

Eligibility: Candidates must have done their graduation in the management field and should be recognized by a statutory University. 
Selection Procedure: The institute enrolls students to this program on the basis of their scores in GATE/CAT/GMAT followed by a group discussion and interview. 

PhD and Integrated PhD Programs

Eligibility: Candidates should have completed their bachelor's degree and master's degree in a relevant field. 
Selection Procedure: The candidates will only be selected to these doctorate courses on the basis of JAM Entrance Test 2016.
