Don Bosco College of Teacher Education Tura is an ideal place to learn the basics and methodology of teaching education. It is one of the main units of Don Bosco Society, which is a registered Society in Northeast Region of India. The college is affiliated to North Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong, and recognized by the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE), Government of India. Don Bosco College of Teacher Education Tura imparts two-year full time program in the form of B. Ed, including both theoretical and practical part of education. The course here is provided with the aim of developing skills of the young aspirants through an organising learning experience. Moreover, the widespread campus of this college is equipped with state-of-the-art amenities.



Courses 

To make its students to know the nature of the learning process and to develop them as talented teachers within the country, Don Bosco College of Teacher Education offers them a two-year full time educational program, which is known as: 
  • Bachelor of Education (B. Ed)

This course involves a comprehensive study of learning and teaching, particular subject knowledge, critical thinking skills, school organization and management, and social basis of education. 

Eligibility Criteria 

The candidates have to pass their three-year of bachelor’s examination with at least 50% marks in any stream, from a recognized University. However, those aspirants, who are appearing in their final year of qualifying examination, can also fill application form for this teaching course.

All the candidates are selected to this B. Ed course of Don Bosco College of Teacher Education Tura on the basis of their past academic performance and as per the rules and regulations of North Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong.
