Common Admission Test (CAT) will be conducted with new format in this year. However, the total number of questions will be the same but the sections have reduced from three to two and extra five minutes will be provided to the students. Talking about the test centres, Bhilai, Jammu and Dehradun have been added to the already existing 33 test centres but the number of testing days will remain to 20. As per the official release of Prometric, the testing agency and IIMs, the entrance test will have only two sections i.e. section one of quantitative ability and data interpretation and the second on verbal ability and logical reasoning. CAT 2011 will have to be completed within 140 minutes in which they will have 70 minutes to answer 30 questions within each section. After completing the first section, students will move to the second and will have no option to go back to the first.
